Become Successful with Sealing the Client

The most important thing that somebody can learn from cold calling or meeting prospective clients is to establish self confidence and the skill to convince the client that they NEED you, and not that you NEED them. I will list about five tips that will make you able to seal the deal when it comes to cold calling:

    1) Research your client- Know how much a single customer would be worth. Then let them know how many people they are potentially missing out on per month! Let them really understand

    2) Speak like a human- The client doesn't care about technical jargon so if you are able to keep it all in layman's terminology you will be better off than having to explain every single definition of SEO, SEM, ORM, et cetera.

    3) Give them a reason to want to use your service- Citing past customers' results will only intrigue them

    4) Don't give them an option about price- Pricing should not be the primary concern of any business meeting or phone call. You need to establish a reason why they need you, and once that is done, they will be willing to pay whatever the cost will be.

    5) Stay Calm- The quickest way to lose a client is to stumble up, become frustrated, or just be uncomfortable to be around. Be yourself and try to interject some humor. Start with something simple like, "Hi, thanks for having me. I'm not much of a presenter, I typically stick to being a tech geek." This type of humor will make them relax and become comfortable with you.

I've always been interested in offline methods and I could easily do what you are suggesting except for the last one. I am too socially awkward to be relaxed. :/

Trust me it just takes practice. The way I used to prepare for a client/cold call would be to dial a random number until somebody would pick up. I would practice by trying to hold a conversation, and by doing this I would warm up and become less and less awkward. You will get it down in no time.

Offline is extremely lucrative, so I would jump into the game if I were you. You will only regret it when somebody else beats you to the punch. I know some people who are making over a thousand dollars a month on one customer alone!

If you need any help, feel free to message me!

Thanks for the tips. Yes, the last one is the thing that you should have. Confidence will actually drive everything especially that there are also prospective clients who do not get easily comfortable with other people.
