Maybe some sort of membership site for making money online? Paid users will be part of an exclusive email newsletter and access to video tutorials or something.

I've heard the gaming niche could work pretty well for this kind of website.

What about a dating site? I know there is a load around but there are tons of single people also lol

you have a lot of competition if you want to try that, and seeing as how the most popular "POF" is free, then it makes it very difficult.

Perhaps some kind of site with private torrents?

I'd say a gaming niche, or making money niche. Go around this forum and those a like, find all the GPT, PPV, PPD, CPA, YouTube, etc websites that have been posted by others with payment proof multiple times. Stay up to to date on all of these forums and the offers/methods on how to make money with each company. Use small examples or half guides, with a become a member link to see the rest of our methods... It's an idea I have had for awhile and never got around to. Another idea is a tube site or document sharing site. Doesn't have to be porn, but you can find a niche that would have a lot of videos of interest, and create a community around it. Target hastag niche traffic from twitter, especially if mobile friendly, even if not mobile redirect and get paid.

Personally I think that the gaming niche is the best. Just think about how any people play video games and are always looking for cheats, tips and walk throughs!

Definitely, as others have said, video games are a good thing to circle around. The thing you need to look out for is when a video game company starts showing previews of a game, jump on that and make a forum! Most people will join from the beginning and it can generate a big following. I know that happens with a lot of the Call of Duty games.
